My story with this instrument
As a violinist, I was captivated by the psaltery in 1997. Since then, I have developed my technique by combining sensitivity, rigor, and attentive listening to the body. This technique is largely inspired by teachers from classical instrumental schools, as well as by therapists who have studied the bodies of musicians. It is a work of patience, gentleness, respect for limits, but also freedom. The zither remains a unique instrument, often overlooked, which holds great expressive riches.

An easy instrument?
Yes and no. Like the guitar, the psaltery is easy to learn at first. With your professional musical background, you'll quickly be able to accompany yourself, improvise, or play a few easy pieces. Its apparent simplicity can be quite appealing. However, acquiring a deep and solid technique requires time, a certain amount of discipline, and passion—you already know this if you play another instrument.
Learning to play?
Would you like to learn to play it? I can offer you clear and structured instruction, respectful of your body and your musical journey, adapted to the pace of your life as a musician and your aspirations. Balancing high standards with freedom, we'll forge a path together, at your own pace. Drawing on my instrumental experience, I can help you save precious time by guiding you towards a fluid and expressive playing style.

Composing for zither or psaltery?
Do you write music? Are you planning a piece for zither? Or would you like to incorporate it into a composition with other instruments? I can help you analyze its playability, refine its notation, or enrich it with other musical ideas. I can also offer to publish it with Éditions Psalmos. Although distribution remains quite limited, it finds an audience largely composed of curious and passionate amateur zither players, looking for new works to expand their repertoire.
Concert or broadcast featuring a zither?
Are you a producer, journalist or concert organizer?
I would be delighted to discuss your project and help you bring it to fruition. Depending on your needs, I can easily integrate myself into the production of a broadcast or the planning of a concert program.

Didactic transfers?
You teach another instrument, and instrumental didactics greatly interests you.
Perhaps we share this common vision with our students, aiming to combine a love of music, technical skills and an understanding of the learning process.
For my part, I use a clear didactic approach to quickly identify and clarify students' difficulties and to create teaching materials.
With your experience, we may be able to enrich our respective approaches, creating interesting synergies between our teachings.
